Meet Crippen Woodworks
A native of Georgia and a third-generation craftsman, I learned to work with my hands from my father and grandfather, each a wildly talented craftsman in his own right. As a young man in the mid-1990s, I began my career in carpentry as a finish carpenter. Growing in skill and confidence, I founded Crippen Woodworks in 2001 as a finish carpentry company, servicing both residential and commercial new construction. Soon, people began asking us about other possible areas of specialty, namely custom cabinets. This customer demand necessitated the opening of our own cabinet shop.
Before long, people started asking if we could handle projects on the exteriors of their homes. Our customers wanted the same craftsmanship and excellence our team achieved inside applied to their outdoor spaces. So we began building decks and porches, first for our existing finish carpentry customers, then for others who had equally demanding taste.
Today, the team and I apply the same unwavering principles and standards of excellence to every project. It’s truly a team effort and I feel blessed to not only have the privilege of working with one of the most talented groups of craftsmen in the city, but I am also grateful for the strong and loyal customer base that allows Crippen Woodworks to do what we do so well.

While our expertise is in carpentry, we also uphold a high standard for our customer service. Your house may be the location of our temporary job site, yet we never overlook the fact that it is ultimately your home and personal sanctuary. It’s our desire what we leave behind is the finished product itself and the good memories you have of us being there.

The ultimate blessing that I have experienced in business has materialized in the form of a continuous gathering of fantastic customers and brilliant craftsmen. I am collaborating with people who are all-around good folks. Our team of talented carpenters have worked together for periods of time ranging between 5 to 20 years. We invest in recruiting, training and seasoning new craftsmen for the Crippen Woodworks team. We work diligently to establish and maintain great, long term relationships.

A Georgia native and a third-generation craftsman, I learned to work with my hands from my father and grandfather. Running the business is a fantastic privilege that I enjoy immensely. However, because of my background, my heart will always be in the art we create.

Edgar has been with the company for over 20 years. We wouldn't be where we are without him! He is legendary around the shop for being able to build everything out of anything. His innovation and creative skills are a great asset to the company.
Gordon
Master Carpenter
Rumor has it Gordon was running a table saw before he could walk! A wildly talented cabinet maker and finisher. We’ve become known for the details and top notch finishes that Gordon keeps on point.
Kevin
CNC Programmer/Operator
Currently famous for taking our lighting game to the next level. Kevin also runs our CNC and is learning 3D printing. He’s keeping us 'block and chisel' guys in the 21st century. He constantly expands our ability to create anything our customers can imagine.

Our young buck. Jake is a naturally talented craftsman. Jake is a team player with a great attitude who learns quickly and is a huge addition to our team! Young men like Jake are the future of our trade and the future looks bright!

Lead Designer
An accomplished deck builder in his own right, Mike is now using his experience to design for us. With a keen eye for detail, he supports the teams in bringing each design to life and follows the builds through to completion.
Fidel
Project Manager
Simply doing whatever it takes, Fidel keeps the organized chaos called “construction” on schedule and on point. He is also our daily point of contact with clients and subcontractors. He is a tremendous craftsman with equally strong people skills. Customers love him and so do we!
Paige
Office Manager/Administrative Assistant
It’s Paige’s friendly voice you hear when you call the office. Us creative types are not always known for our organizational prowess. Paige is an exception. She is both brilliantly creative and uber-organized. The perfect personality blend to run our office and keep our team of artisans in lockstep.
